From 5 to 7 February Caserta's Teatro Comunale Costantino Parravano hosts Alessio Boni in Molière – L'arte della beffa (The art of mockery), written by Francesco Niccolini and directed by Boni himself together with Roberto Aldorasi and Marcello Prayer.

This is the team that in recent years has staged great literary figures with a physical, visionary actors' theatre. This time the focus is Molière, the playwright who laughed at the powerful, the hypocrites and the doctors, and who paid dearly for the courage of his satire. We expect a show weaving together the author's life and his comedies, with pranks, masks and the struggle of making theatre under the king's gaze.

Our tip: it is one of the most eagerly awaited titles of the Caserta season, organised by the city with Teatro Pubblico Campano.
