Perched above Vietri sul Mare, the tiny hamlet of Albori is one of the prettiest on the Amalfi Coast, and at Christmas it becomes the setting for a living nativity that reached its 46th edition in 2025. Among stairways, arches and houses clinging to the rock, the performers recreate Palestine at the time of Jesus.

It is organised by the parish of Santa Margherita in Albori, with the support of the town council. On nativity evenings a shuttle bus usually runs from the valley, which helps because parking in the hamlet is very limited; along the route you can taste local produce.

The 2026/27 calendar is not out yet: the evenings usually fall between the last Sundays of December and Epiphany. Check the dates before heading up.
