For almost forty years the Naples branch of the Italian Association of Friends of the Crib (AIAP) has staged an exhibition of its members' work: a fixed date for anyone who loves the Neapolitan nativity scene. The 2025 edition (the 39th) was held in the church of Sant'Angelo a Segno on Via dei Tribunali; in the past it was hosted at San Severo al Pendino.

You can see Nativity scenes, glimpses of everyday life, miniature taverns and workshops, made with traditional techniques by dedicated crib-makers. In recent editions admission was free, and a catalogue with essays on nativity art was available.

The venue and dates of the 2026 edition have not been announced yet; the show usually opens in late November and closes at Epiphany. We suggest combining it with San Gregorio Armeno, just a few steps away.
