Irpinia is home to three of Campania’s four DOCG wines: Taurasi, Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo. We set off from the village of Taurasi, with its castle, and cross the hills where Aglianico ripens until November.
We visit a local winery, go down among the barrels and finish with a guided tasting of the three wines, paired with Irpinian cheeses and cured meats.
