We walk up the path that leads to the rim of the crater: about 30–40 minutes of climbing on volcanic ground, on a steady gradient but with no technical difficulties.
At the top we tell you how the volcano works, about the eruptions that changed the history of the gulf and how it is monitored today. On clear days you can see Naples, Capri, the Sorrento Peninsula and the Campi Flegrei.
