We begin in the medieval village of Casertavecchia, in the hills above the city: the Romanesque cathedral, the stone alleyways and the remains of the castle, with views across the whole plain.

We then go down to San Leucio, a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with the Reggia: here the Bourbons founded a colony of silk artisans with its own rules. We visit the Belvedere and the historic looms.
