The city enjoys the presence of an archaeological park of over 80 hectares. An area of about 5 hectares has been explored and is usable by the visitors thanks to special didactic cards. Around, the green area equipped with benches and picnic tables, is open all year to anyone who wants to spend a day in the open air.  Within the park area an interesting experiment of "City Gardens", with experimentation of biological cultivation entrusted to the care of the elderly. The area, managed by Legambiente, is involved for the whole year in cultural exchange projects with European volunteers on community projects. Excellent destination for school tourism, associated with the Archaeological Museum and the Museum of rural traditions.

In summer from 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 9pm, in winter from 9am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm. Admission free. The old fort is still annexed the Masseria. He underwent a showy intervention in 1904 along with the Noble Tower, the main staircase and the disengagement Gallery of the rooms on the first floor.   It hosts an imposing library archive, a bookseller's fund of over 10000 volumes, specialising in the historical and southern sector.

Over eight thousand tombstones brought to light and located in the area of modern living. Testimonies of great historical value from the Neolithic to the Roman age. Finds from the ancient settlement and the sacred areas (temple of Apollo and Demeter).

Open from 9am to 1pm, closed on Monday.

Free admission up to 18 years and over 65 years.
